Munich, 06.03.2013 – The Supervisory Board of Ecommerce Alliance AG (ISIN DE000A1C9YW6 / WKN A1C9YW) has appointed Andreas Schmidt to the company’s Management Board.
The business graduate Andreas Schmidt (48) has many years of experience of executive positions in the consumer electronics and telecommunications sector with METRO Cash & Carry Deutschland GmbH and as Managing Director of FreeCom GmbH, one of Europe’s leading distributors of mobile radio devices. In 1999 he founded waptelecom GmbH and, as managing partner, has since managed the company’s expansion.
The appointment of Andreas Schmidt rounds off the Management Board team of the realigned Ecommerce Alliance AG. Mr. Schmidt will be responsible for the strategic direction and control of the “Mobile” business unit and will continue to be responsible as Managing Director for the operational business of the companies in the smartphone business.
