Ecommerce Alliance AG (ECA) (ISIN DE000A12UK08), an entry standard listing at the Frankfurt stock exchange, held its general shareholders’ meeting in Munich with representatives of 57.62% of the share capital on July 5th. The shareholders were very satisfied with the results of the 2015 business year and voted in favour of all proposals submitted by management with a resounding majority.
The CEO detailed the positive development over the course of the past year and explained the current business strategy going forward. “We have strengthened our core business with solid growth and have reorganised the business units Services and Brands for more efficiency. We are continuously on the lookout for companies that are looking to adopt new and particularly high growth trends in eCommerce or that populate attractive niche markets to further our own growth. We focus in particular on businesses with above average development potential”, stressed Daniel Wild, CEO of Ecommerce Alliance AG, in his speech.
The agenda of the general shareholders meeting included the election and expansion of the company’s supervisory board. Mr. Tim Schwenke and Mr. Maximilian Ardelt were re-elected to the board. Dr. Michael Birkel, a previous member of the supervisory board, was unavailable for another term in office. The supervisory board and executive management thanked Dr. Michael Birkel for his outstanding work and commitment for the past six years. Dr. Jens Neiser was newly elected to the Ecommerce Alliance AG supervisory board by the general shareholders meeting on the recommendation of the supervisory board. Dr. Neiser, who spent many years with Boston Consulting Group in the capacity of business consultant and who has been running a consulting firm for asset management, and investment & business controlling since 1993, has been a 13.5% shareholder of Ecommerce Alliance AG via Dr. Steffen Lehmann und Cie. GmbH for many years. Another new addition to the supervisory body was Dr. Nikola Dešković, a distinguished internet expert.
Dr. Dešković was a co-founder of Scout24 AG and of AutoScout24 GmbH, the leading European online portal for motor vehicles. The new Ecommerce Alliance AG supervisory board therefore now consists of the four members Tim Schwenke (chairman), Maximilian Ardelt (deputy chairman), Dr. Jens Neiser and Dr. Nikola Dešković.
“We are very happy to welcome two very experienced colleagues in Dr. Jens Neiser and Dr. Nikola Dešković, whose know-how and extensive contacts specifically in the areas of Internet Technology and M&A are excellent additions to our supervisory board”, commented Tim Schwenke, chairman of the Ecommerce Alliance AG supervisory board.
